Da Nang city is participating in the group of 100 cities with the strong resilient capability (100RC).  This is the only city in Vietnam have now been selected to 100RC group. In the city development strategy, the city government has paid attention to the disaster risk financing solutions (including insurance) strongly.

Aiming to disaster insurance solutions according to the levels of authorities in the future, VINARE has been pioneering in studying to provide insurance solutions matching the demand of the market. VINARE is actively cooperating with strategic partner – Swiss Re to study the long-term solutions for the market and for a better resilient Viet Nam to develop the economy and social security.

In Da Nang, on 31 March 2016, VINARE has collaborated with Swiss Re, together with climate change office in Da Nang (Da Nang CCCO) to organize seminar introducing disaster risk financing and insurance solutions for Da Nang city. There are many members from the departments of Da Nang city participating in the seminar. The members are very interested in the content presented in the seminar and ask plenty of interesting questions for the non-life insurers in general, at the same time, representatives of the project also provides the requirements for a comprehensive strategic product for the city to better resile from natural disasters.

At the conference, VINARE and Swiss Re have also committed on the continued collaboration with relevant partners to provide optimal solutions to meet the demand of Da Nang.
