Liability insurance is considered a potential business and has many opportunities to develop in Vietnam market. However, Liability insurance is a difficult business, requiring many knowledge and deep understanding about the business as well as legal basis. To have the opportunity to enhance discussion and sharing experience on this business, Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE) has cooperated with Swiss Re to organize Liability insurance seminar on 24th August 2016 at Movenpick Hotel, Hanoi. In addition to presentations of Swiss Re and VINARE experts, nearly 40 guests including representatives from non-life insurers in Vietnam market have participated, discussed and contributed their opinions at the Seminar.

This seminar focused on general principles in liability insurance, legal frameworks in the world and introduced in details about legal framework in Vietnam applied for liability insurance. The group discussion session focused on analyzing a specific liability insurance policy, helping participants to systemize necessary information when reviewing and evaluating policy issuance. Swiss Re experts also had presentations on insurance principles, claims basis and updates on some legal documents affecting general trend in claims in Asia.

Organizing of Liability insurance seminar has received positive feedbacks from participants, VINARE hopes to continue to receive valuable contribution of inputs as well as questions to prepare for the next liability insurance seminars in the near future.
