On 10-11 July 2017, the State Bank of Vietnam, in association with the APEC Business Advisory Council (ABAC), the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI), and the Foundation for Development Cooperation (FDC), co-organized the 7th annual APEC Asia-Pacific Forum on Financial Inclusion in 2017 in Hoi An city, Quang Nam province. Mr. Yves-Daniel Cochand, Deputy CEO of VINARE participated in this Forum.

The policy dialogue focused on comprehensive financial orientations for rural and agricultural development as one of the four preferential cooperation contents of the APEC Finance Ministers’ Process (FMP) in 2017. In this Forum, Mr. Cochand was invited as a panelist in Session 6: Developing Microinsurance Roadmap for APEC Emerging Economies. Session Leader was Dr. Antonis Malagardis, Program Director GIZ (German Development Cooperation Organisation). There were also other participants from finance – insurance sector including Mr Ellison Pidik, Assistant Governor, Bank of Papua New Guinea; Mr Yoga Prasetyo, Head of Credit Life and Emerging Consumers, Allianz Life Indonesia, as well as Ms Tran Thanh Ha, Head of Life Insurance Division, ISA Vietnam.
