On June 27, 2025, in Hanoi, the announcement and awards ceremony for the “Top 100 ESG Green Vietnam Enterprises 2025” (ESG100) and the “Top 50 Innovation and Business Efficiency Enterprises 2025” (VIE50) took place in a formal and inspiring atmosphere. The event gathered leading businesses, economic experts, and representatives from reputable organizations. As part of the program, Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE) was honored in the Top 10 ESG Green Vietnam in the insurance industry – a meaningful milestone that acknowledges the company’s ongoing efforts to integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into its core development strategy.

In recent years, VINARE has continuously elevated its standards of transparent governance, promoted a corporate culture rooted in social responsibility and proactively implemented initiatives aimed at sustainable development and environmental impact reduction. Since 2024, the publication of VINARE’s independent Sustainability Report has further demonstrated the company’s long-term and serious commitment to the ESG journey.

Going beyond regulatory compliance, VINARE considers ESG as a central pillar of its corporate strategy – serving as a compass for risk management and shaping long-term value. Across its business operations, the company strives to strike a balance between financial performance and accountability to society and the environment. VINARE places strong emphasis on leveraging digital technologies to optimize processes and reduce resource consumption, while actively supporting community development, talent cultivation and knowledge sharing within the insurance and reinsurance industry.

Over 30 years of development, VINARE is gradually asserting its pioneering role not only in reinsurance but also in promoting sustainable development thinking in Vietnam. Being named among the Top 10 ESG Green Vietnam Enterprises is a well-deserved recognition of the company’s unwavering commitment.

The award is jointly organized by Finance & Investment newspaper (Ministry of Finance) and Viet Research, aiming to promote ESG values and foster a spirit of innovation across Vietnam’s business community. According to Viet Research’s findings, 96% of enterprises in the ESG100 and ESG10 lists have clear strategies or goals toward Net Zero; 93% have made specific commitments to reducing carbon emissions; and nearly 90% of companies in the VIE50 and VIE10 rankings are ramping up investment in R&D and digital technology.

VINARE’s inclusion in the Top 10 ESG Green Vietnam not only recognizes its achievements to date but also serves as a powerful driver for the company to continue leading the way in advancing sustainable development within the financial and insurance sectors.
