VINARE Chairman Nguyen Anh Tuan honors outstanding journalists at the 2025 Insurance Journalism Awards

12 - 06 -2026

On 10 June, at the 2025 Insurance Journalism Awards Ceremony organized by the Insurance Association of Vietnam (IAV), Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE), Vice Chairman of the Insurance Association of Vietnam, and Head of the Awards Organizing Committee, attended the event, delivered the opening remarks and presented awards to outstanding journalists and author groups.

In his address, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan noted that 2025 has been a period of significant developments for Vietnam’s insurance market, marked by the implementation of new regulations governing life insurance products, as well as the increasingly evident impacts of natural disasters, climate change, and emerging risks on individuals and businesses.

Against this backdrop, he emphasized that the media continues to serve as a vital bridge between the insurance industry and society by providing objective information, enhancing public awareness, and strengthening confidence in financial protection solutions.

“Insightful and well-researched journalistic works have helped individuals and businesses gain a deeper understanding of the role of insurance in risk management, thereby encouraging them to take a more proactive approach to protecting themselves, their families, and their business operations,” Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan stated.

The 2025 Insurance Journalism Awards once again attracted broad participation from media organizations nationwide, receiving a total of 1,050 entries across all journalistic formats. Following preliminary screening and judging rounds, 79 entries advanced to the final round. Many submissions were highly commended for their in-depth analysis, rigorous use of data, compelling human-interest perspectives, comprehensive policy context, and innovative presentation formats. Ultimately, the judging panel selected 23 outstanding works for recognition, including four First Prizes, four Second Prizes, five Third Prizes, and ten Consolation Prizes.

Commenting on this year’s awards, Mr. Nguyen Duc Loi, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Journalists Association and Head of the Judging Panel, stated that many entries demonstrated in-depth, objective, and responsible reporting on issues affecting the insurance market, thereby contributing to the industry’s transparency and sustainable development.

At the ceremony, the Insurance Association of Vietnam officially launched the 2026 Insurance Journalism Awards, continuing to provide a platform for media organizations to reflect developments in the insurance market, promote insurance knowledge, and enhance public awareness of risk management and financial protection. The Awards not only recognize outstanding journalistic achievements but also reaffirm the media’s important role in improving public understanding of insurance and supporting the development of a transparent, professional, and sustainable insurance market.
