Reinsurance technical accounting is considered one of the most important activities in reinsurance handling process. Understanding and applying principles and basic knowledge properly in daily activities is a very important matter. To enhance exchanging and sharing experience in handling issues relating to this business, Vietnam National Reinsurance Corporation (VINARE) has cooperated with Willis Re to organize Technical Accounting Seminar on 5^th and 6^th September 2016 at Hilton Hotel, Hanoi.

With its beneficial and practical contents, the Seminar has attracted more than 60 participants in which more than 40 guests are representatives from non-life insurers operating in Vietnam market, together with VINARE and Willis Re experts and VINARE staff.

In two days, VINARE and Willis Re experts have mentioned about basic reinsurance topics, reinsurance types, the relation between technical accounting and financial accounting. The experts also presented further on knowledge in proportional; run-off and clean-cut contracts, method of calculating profit commission, notes in claims handling and renewal information. The second day of the seminar focused on knowledge relating to non-proportional treaty with many exercises and examples for participants to understand more solidly about the knowledge they have learnt. VINARE and Willis Re experts have presented on methods of pricing, adjusting premium, reinstatement premium, loss distribution and notes in claims handling.

Organizing the Technical accounting seminar has received positive feedbacks from participants. This is also one of the activities that VINARE has always focused on to provide value added services for the market as well as enhancing client relationship. This once again affirmed VINARE’s efforts for the stable and sustainable development of the insurance market.
